Badua said a total budget of Php70 million was allotted by Department of Health (DOH) and now on the process of bidding in Manila.

“The construction is expected to start within the first half of the year. When this will be completed, we will serve hundreds of cancer patients who will be undertaking treatment processes such as chemotherapy,” Badua said.

If the cancer center will be established, Badua said, the hospital can now be considered as end referral of severe medical cases except for heart operations such as heart surgery, transplant and other major heart operation.

On the other hand, Badua also mentioned that they will also construct a four-storey building to increase the bed capacity of the hospital from 500 to 850. The said building also costs Php80 million pesos which will also be constructed within the first half of the year. (OTB-PIA2/Cagayan)
